I ordered a custom photo-book from Picaboo. It arrived today. The print quality is terrible. It looks like someone did a draft print-out and sold it instead of the quality product. Every page in photobook product contains clearly visible grid-like pattern. This is terrible even compared to results of one-hour photo service prints. It looks like a bad Chinese quality, but for an exorbitant price.... Read more

Be cautious of Picaboo specials, I bought a coupon for a $7 softcover 6x8 photobook. Shipping by Picaboo within the US for this small book was $8.99. WOW, for this very small thin size, it would cost me about $1 to ship and an average company would charge about $4.99 to ship (with handling). So the total for my "special" with tax was almost $17.00. Of course they don't advertise their... Read more

I bought a voucher for an 8x8 photobook. What I got is a 8x6 book cause you don't choose the size of your book until the end, when you are going to order your book. WTH? I suppose to know the size of my book prior to order it! But no, they just give you the chance to choose between "landscape or square" that's it! And then (when your book is in you car, no way to go back) they tell you the sizes... Read more

I have done several Picaboo photo-books over the past four years, and the most recent one tells me they have really gone downhill. In the first few books I made, the colors were bright and the pictures sharp. The pictures from a recent book were grainier and dark, the colors poor. Their business model involves selling so many vouchers, that they obviously have had to cut their costs to the bone... Read more

I purchases five vouchers at $35 each with a value of $100. I thought I could combine the vouchers for one purchase. I was wrong. Picaboo treats each voucher as a "promotion". And only one promotion is valid per order. There is a 30 day window to cancel the voucher order. But when I contacted customer support, they were closed! They are only open M-F 9-5 Pacific. When I did get through, I... Read more

Wish I had never found Picaboo! Their quality photo is dark, grainy and blurry. Not sure how try can turn perfect professional photographer digital images into such a mess, but they do...and they don't offer any customer service to make it right :( Add comment

I was a repeat customer of Picaboo and received a "special" offer email for customers, so I bought vouchers for 3 albums. After spending hours creating the albums and getting to checkout Picaboo would only accept the vouchers if I redeemed them one at a time -- what's the problem you ask? Well, they charged $10 per order for shipping and handling. Even though all 3 albums are going to the same... Read more

I usually use Shutterfly for my Christmas cards but decided to try Picaboo this year - BAD IDEA. I submitted a card using a professional photo that was high res - what I got from them looks like a washed out photocopied card from a cheap printer. I have used these guys for photobooks and the books have been decent - but my cards are awful. I just emailed with their customer service and was told... Read more

I had the same problem as a previous reviewer. My photobook looked fine on three different computer monitors. Two PCs and one Apple macbook. When it arrived the pictures were darker and one picture that was taken in bright sunshine was very dark. I called customer service and sure enough they told me that my computer monitor settings were bright and because of the backlight all pictures appeared... Read more
