I usually use Shutterfly for my Christmas cards but decided to try Picaboo this year - BAD IDEA. I submitted a card using a professional photo that was high res - what I got from them looks like a washed out photocopied card from a cheap printer. I had the same problem as a previous reviewer. My photobook looked fine on three different computer monitors. Two PCs and one Apple macbook. When it arrived the pictures were darker and one picture that was taken in bright sunshine was very dark. Spent hours, days on a 8 x 11 book. On my computer (Apple iMac 2014), photos were clear and brilliant. Upon receipt of my photo book, all the photos were dark and the background colors were not even close to what was chosen. After complaining, they said it was my computer. Of course, never them. I bought a I voucher to be used within 6 months. When I tried using it after 5 hrs. of preparing my album the download would not work. Phoning the help line and spending another hour trying to resolve the issue I was told that my upload speed was inadequate. Checking with my service provider he said my speed is normal for Canada. Picaboo promised me for a refund of the poor quality photobook I have ordered. It's been 2 weeks now and my refund still hasn't been received. They are bogus! Add comment

I bought a livingsocial voucher and after I made the book they put a very high cost of $120 for it! I've ordered many of these books with Apple and for the amount of pages it would have been only like $50-$60. Picaboo has no customer service person so I couldn't discuss the problem wiht anyone. I am so disappointed in my recent experience with Picaboo. I have made many photo albums in the past and have always been very happy with the quality of the books they produced and the customer service they gave. ALL that changed with this last order. Well I cashed in on a Groupon offer ($20 for a 8x10 hardbound, flat layout book plus shipping) because that was the best offer I've ever seen. I don't know if Picaboo got their act together or what but the book came out perfectly. It was professionally bound and the pictures looked just like my digital files. I bought a voucher for $25 for a canvas directly through Picaboo. It was pretty easy to upload the image and I liked that I could add text to it.
